iact street party

its about time another gig came by =] iact is moving to a cooler place, and we’ll (underheadlights) be playing at their launch cum street partay!!! from what i’ve heard there’s a lot of planning going down for this event so it’s gonna be huge!

there’s gonna be bands (one buck short, underheadlights, eg), even a rap group (manhand), exhibitions (it IS an advertising institute) and awareness events all placed out through the day (25th april). so mark the date down, put on your jumping shoes and come and have a blast!

finally, i’m gig-ing with underheadlights! haha yes those who know, know that i haven’t been able to play with my band for their 1st 2 gigs due to certain obvious reasons =P but now i’m able! woohoo! so this is where u can catch underheadlights first ever full band gig!

you are the revolution! and its at the final stage right here in kl. well, not really kl, acts church summit usj actually. we’ll be playing on the last day (closing band woot!) so come and support us aiight? no more places for the conference, but the night event starts at 7pm. and at the strike of 10pm, we’re teleporting to:

due to unforseen circumstances, discovery stage’s venue has been changed from cineleisure the curve to club c18 bangsar. its located along jalan liku, off jalan riong. just refer to the map here. really sorry about this last minute change, hope to see you guys there! rock on!

campur charts goes on a tour

 if u’ve been to laundry @ the curve b4, u would probably know that fly.fm has their local music scene show, campur chart goes live there almost once a week. its a pretty sweet place to survey the local music scene whether it be rock, hip hop, brit rock or watever. basically any band on the chart will eventually play at this live show. well, seeing that this fixed venue has benefited the folks of klang valley, now comes a new take to it.

yes. now they’re touring. haha. and i’ll b going with them. yes i know, u dont see oneted on this poster. neither is there beat the system. well, that’s because i’m going as army of three’s official roadie! haha, yeah. u know the guy who goes on stage b4 the stars go up there to play. yeah tats me. heh, thought it would b a good experience. and i would b able to mingle with acts like love me butch and the otherside orchestra. so its all good. if u’re around the area. pls come. mmu ppl. u’re on holiday. pls come =]

yes its the same band. somehow their live performances suck. to me at least. some ppl say its good. coz it shows emotions apparently. well, u can show emotions without falling and screwing up ur guitar’s tuning am i right? and i nvr really liked bands who trash their equipment. tats y i lost some interest in linkin park after i watched live in texas =\

bought the star today? well, although they are very controlled by BN, i shall advertise them on this blog just this once =] there was a short writeup in the youth2 section on several local bands. they only highlighted 2 bands though: dragon red & beat the system. so, click here to jump to it.

• a group meeting
• driving for close to 2 hours

well i have. and i’m currently dead. its been a long time since i’ve ached throughout my body. yes. for the uninformed, it wasnt just jamming. we were recording some vids for a diy mtv project. so its actually 6 hours of jumping, headbanging, etc.

i think its about time i premiered this to the world. can’t keep beauty like this hidden in the closet =]

tats duff mckagan, bassist of guns n roses and velvet revolvers. yup i’m using his bass. but theoratically, he’s using my bass as well. hehehe

this is my 1st venture into the world of single coil pickups. and yes, i have grounding/60cycle hum issues. at least i think i do. well. finally i see myself not changing my bass guitar for a very long time.

yet to name it. any suggestions? =] no actual pics coz photography aint my best skill

also. i’m seriously considering doing something. anything to it. cosmetics-wise. things that have crossed my mind:

1. get a pickguard for it. prolly a black gloss one.
2. racing stripes (like my 1st wife).
3. spray painting my precision pickup cover, my bridge pickup volume knob and my B string tuner white (or maybe red?).
