its about time another gig came by =] iact is moving to a cooler place, and we’ll (underheadlights) be playing at their launch cum street partay!!! from what i’ve heard there’s a lot of planning going down for this event so it’s gonna be huge!

there’s gonna be bands (one buck short, underheadlights, eg), even a rap group (manhand), exhibitions (it IS an advertising institute) and awareness events all placed out through the day (25th april). so mark the date down, put on your jumping shoes and come and have a blast!

sounds like a pretty emo title eh? you can kinda image me at the corner of my room,  dim lights with an empty bottle of heineken by my side. i’m curled up in a fetus position, a little tear in my eye. holding a razor in my right hand and my scribbled last words to the world on a crumpled paper in my left, i’m ready to meet my maker.

but we all know my emo days are over eh? heh.

for the uninformed ppl who never experienced the nu metal wave that came in the 90s, this is brian “head” welch, former lead guitarist of pioneering nu metal band korn. though i’m not a particular big fan, i must say that i really love a few of their tracks, namely freak on the leash (something takes a part of me), their cover of Cameo’s Word Up and their recent hit twisted transistor.

so yeah a small conversation on korn (that’s all i’m capable of) and now head left the band some 4 years ago after he went to church and accepted Christianity into his life. and now, what we all have been waiting for is here. head’s solo project! titled… you can guess this one =]

i must say the few tracks i’ve listened to on this album sounds really interesting. its still very much loud, hardcore and full of screams, so don’t expect head to suddenly become steven curtis chapman aiight? if you’re a fan of loud music with that nu metal influence then go on and sample some of his tracks by clicking on the album art above.

would your mum consider this a good influence? hmm…

i think a nice controversial song he has is die religion die which he says is about how religious ppl use the bible and its content to give them “the right” to judge ppl which is quite true in today’s world. i think we have too many ppl with strong opinions who speak up too often and think they know more than they do.

it’s here! and yes, it is the best gigbag in the world! =P not that i have used many gigbags to date. this one just looks the coolest! now the love story begins.

looking at it, it is much bigger than my previous gigbag which was a fender gigbag that came with a bass that i previously bought. it was padded but not fully padded so it was a lot sleeker than the m80. and well, that’s probably the only think that my previous gigbag trumps the m80 at =P

the m80 has a few compartments for u to put lotsa stuff inside em. and they’re not just compartments, they have more compartments in them! the big pocket at the front end has cable management and what i think is a cd compartment. and an additional “hidden” pocket at the top of the m80 holds ur smaller things. tuners, baby wipes, screwdrivers, etc.

neck saver! this obviously saves ur neck in the event ur gigbag were to accidentally drop. but with a beauty like this, u’d never let it out of ur sight, so i don’t think it will drop much because of its hotness as well =] did i mention there’s a pick compartment at the neck saver?

strap pin protection! don’t know what that is? well, gigbags are usually put on the floor on, u guessed it, resting on the guitar’s strap pin. now what this m80 does is it instead puts the load of ur heavy 28-string bass  on the body of the bass rather than the little tiny strap pin. amazing huh?

apparently its also waterproof, but i have yet to test that one out yet =]

pads everywhere. hardcase-like protection with abs panels at the head and the body. anti-skip zippers. super plush smooth interior. strong straps and handle fastened by steel studs, so its equally strong worn as a backpack or just carried with ur hands. and have u ever had ur backpack straps dangling all over the place when u decide to just carry ur gigbag with 1 hand? well the m80 has a compartment to tuck ur backpack straps in! now talk about thinking out of the box for u.

earth hour gig was stellar! if u weren’t there, u missed out on something big. too bad for u =\ anyway…

i haven’t heard the compilation yet, but i heard its good. apparently cds that go through proper burning for audio cd sales have a better quality compared to burning/cetak rompak that ppl commonly do using computer burners. the bands on it are great too! altered frequency, army of three, fourletterstory, pg165, scene at the movies, unabashed and under headlights (that’s me!)

did i mention its free? well, technically la. all u have to do is sign up and pledge to switch of your lights and nonessential electrical stuff TODAY from 830-930pm. easy right? u save electric, the world AND you get a free cd with good quality amazing bands. what a win-win situation for everyone =]

to think that such a noble, people-uniting cause can trigger something so meaningless, unhelpful, shallow cause. read below and be amazed:

This week CEI announced the creation of Human Achievement Hour (HAH) to be celebrated at 8:30pm on March 28th 2009 (the same time and date of Earth Hour).

Our press release described ways people might celebrate the achievements of humanity such as eating diner, seeing a film, driving around, keeping the heat on in your home—all things that Earth Hour celebrators, presumably, should be refraining from. In the cheekiest manner, we claimed that anyone not foregoing the use of electricity in that hour is, by default, celebrating the achievements of human beings. Needless to say, the enviros in the blogosphere didn’t take to kindly to our announcement.

Matthew Wheeland, an environmental journalist called the holiday “mind-blowingly strange” and pondered if Earth hour folks are including in their numbers people in countries that don’t have enough electricity to make the choice to turn out their lights. Of course, they don’t have the choice to acquire electricity whereas anyone can choose to stop using human technology if they wish…

…Green and private conservation are fine. We have no problem with an individual (or group) that wants to sit naked in the dark without heat, clothing, or light. Additionally, we’d have no problem with the group holding a pro-green technology rally. That’s their choice. But when this group stages a “global election” with the express purpose of influencing “government policies to take action against global warming,” we have every right as individuals to express our vote for the opposite

If our Human Achievement Hour is at all a dig against Earth Hour, it is so only by the fact that we are pointing out what Earth Hour truly is about: it isn’t pro-earth, it is anti-man and anti-innovation. So, on March 28th I plan to continue “voting” for humanity by enjoying the fruits of man’s mind.

i’m sure u’ve heard it, but what is it? what’’s with all this buzz? how many ppl are actually doing it? and the tagline that they’ve been using pretty often: can i make a difference?

earth hour is in it’s 3rd year running, starting solely in sydney australia, spreading to 35 countries last year and growing to 82 countries this year. it’s a worldwide event where businesses and households switch off their nonessential lights for an hour.

there’s a whole lot of articles you can read about it online, but the gist is switching off things you don’t really need for an hour. its so simple. anyone can do it. everyone should do it. but knowing humankind, there is always the few that disagree.

I READ with amazement and irony the efforts of WWF Malaysia to latch on to the Earth Hour event and all the celebrities, media and corporations that have come up in support.

It is amazing that people are so easily taken in by a mere publicity stunt that fails at the very essence. Turning off our lights for one hour on one designated day of the year to save our planet surely is a PR event at best.

It shames the thousands of devoted people, government bodies, scientists and environmentalists that have for years been working on finding real solutions to address this global concern. Malaysians should see past this gimmick by international NGOs and start changing their lifestyles. Surely we can be more proactive and not be fed by an agenda of international bodies.

Why don’t we implement power conservation programmes, ride public transport on certain days in a month, car pool, etc?

It is also ironic that the organiser, WWF Malaysia, up until very recently, did not even have a climate change programme to begin with when all others (even local groups and individuals) have been persistent in their pleas for Malaysians to take action.

Remember, our leaders signed the Kyoto Protocol and there has been concerted movement towards reaching solutions. Please let us all be enlightened and move away from celebrations and gimmicks.

some would say that switching off lights for 1 hour even on a global scale is “insignificant” and more of a publicity stunt than an actual way to safe our earth. well, i couldn’t agree more. it in fact IS a publicity stunt. the amount of energy or carbon emmissions we safe is in fact INSIGNIFICANT so to speak.

so if it is merely publicity, and insignificant in its results, why do it? i have 2 reasons for you.

1. a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step no? i can’t speak on behalf of wwf, but i think the bigger goal is to indeed aware ppl that if everyone did something, big things can change. its a simple concept that almost everyone believes but yet is a selective hypocrite to certain situations. a simple example. vitamins, exercise, even conversation. 3 things that should well cover 100% of the world’s population. take these 3 things, and isolate them down to 1 unit of each. take 1 vitamin in your whole lifetime. exercise once in your whole lifetime. have a conversation once in your whole lifetime. the result would be unanimous. they would’ve been INSIGNIFICANT things that you’ve done in your life, right? but you still do it nonetheless. why? if its insignificant, why are you still doing it?!?!? bloody cynical selfish hypocrite you are.
2. there is a certain power in masses. this is pretty simple. if you’re the only one doing it, chances are you won’t stick to it. if everyone is doing it, its easier for you to do it again, and again, and again. simple eh?

so don’t be so short sighted as to see earth hour as merely a 1hour energy saving publicity stunt. that IS what it is, but that’s not what it wants to do. i mean, they didn’t say “save the earth just this once” did they?

if you still haven’t gotten the point. wwf just wants to scream out to the whole world, much like al gore in his movie, just to let ppl know. hey, you CAN do something you know?

i am deeply saddenned for the human being that you are. you sound very knowledgable yet you fail to be just a little bit more long sighted in your observations of earth hour. i may not know as much as you do, like how wwf malaysia had no climate change programme, but i know that i am happy that they are doing something now.

i would be very interested to know what do YOU do to save our planet earth. i’m guessing nothing much, since anything you do would be insignificant to our dear earth right?

you do have many interesting suggestions on saving our planet, but are you doing anything about it? are you telling everyone around you that they can do something about it? what impact has your actions done? don’t u see that we, as shallow naive human beings, sometimes DO need a publicity stunt to push us into the right direction?

the mono gigbag. the most coolest gigbag in the world! but no, it’s not just because of the way it looks. though that is a significantly large portion of the reason that it is the most coolest gigbag in the world. this baby is pretty smart too. it has:

a neck safer – you know those things that strap your neck at the center of the bag so that you don’t damage the neck just in case it drops? yeah i know you’ve seen that in many gigbags before, but how many provide protection even for side drops? aha! bet you didn’t think of that. it also has a cute little compartment beside it that keeps your picks. talk about functionality!
a strap pin safer – when upright, most gigbags put a lot of pressure on the strap pin at the end of the guitar. this one doesn’t =]
abs shell – just like a typical hardcase, only that it’s not throughout the whole body, so its really light!
waterproof – its waterproof. something that you will not take for granted when you’re suddenly walking in the rain, or caught in a water balloon fight on the way to a gig =]

commands a pretty hefty price though. it’s available locally at ck music for approx rm600. the pricetag’s the only thing keeping me away now. i prolly can get a nice coffin case with that kinda money =D

if u’ve never heard of aer then you are probably not an acoustic guitarist. aer is an amp making german company, and they make one of the best acoustic amps in the world. they’re so good they prolly can make your kapok sound like a taylor/maton. it sounds impossible until you actually plug a guitar into it. the sparkle. the clarity. its almost orgasmic. here’s a review by sujesh @ bassraptor.

and lookie here! now they’ve come up with a bass amp: the aer bass amp one! woohoo! typically following the standard aer look: the black cube. this little baby is not to be messed with. though small it actually packs 200watts of power. now i haven’t played on this chick yet, still waiting for the guitar store to restock them so i can do a comparison between this and the new ampeg micro-vr. i’m secretly hoping the ampeg wins. coz i’m a little biased brand-wise, and the micro-vr is much cheaper =P i wonder how you would use this lil cube in a live stage setup. a 10*10 wall of em i guess? *droolz* oh yeah, the amp one cost rm6770

also. you have to be u2 to command a crowd this big to want to come out to look at a balcony 5 storeys (or more) above you and kill their necks just to watch and listen to your songs.

The statement said there has been a disruption of TM’s Internet services since Feb 18 due to circuit faults on the Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) between Malaysia and the United States.

Due to this, customers using Internet services may now experience slow browsing while accessing content hosted in the United States, said the statement.

Additionally, customers using Internet Protocol services such as Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to the United States may also experience some service degradation.

To alleviate the problem and ease the congestion, some links have been rerouted, TM said.

i don’t know about u, but i just noticed that my “mjuzik” blog doesn’t really contain music posts these days. well, there was that post on sunburst i guess. and now something crazy has happened yet again.

unless you’re still in kindergarden, don’t watch tv, don’t surf the internet, don’t talk to people, live in the jungle, isolate yourself from society or are a frog underneath a ‘tempurung’ you would definitely know what’s going on between rihanna and chris brown right now. nothing much can be said about what happened. though it’s still speculation that chris brown did what we think he did, he’s pretty much the only suspect thus far.

i must say though that girls sometimes act in ways that make us wanna do these kinda things to them, just as we guys sometimes act in ways that make girls wanna do these things to us. but we all know that no one actually does them. it just ain’t right.

Everybody loves to complain about Facebook. But I’ve been wading through all the nonstop commentary over the last few weeks and I’ve made a startling discovery. Everybody also lies about why they use Facebook. After exhaustive research, here are the Seven Lies You Tell Yourself About Facebook.

1. I Only Friend People I Really Know: Stop pretending you have standards; you will friend anyone. You would accept Bernie Madoff if he asked. You want your friend count to be sky-high. That’s why I accept all sorts of people I haven’t seen in 20 years and couldn’t pick out of a line-up. I refuseto have one less friend than my arch nemesis from college. I will not tolerate a lower count than my annoying colleague who sucks her teeth in meetings whenever I say anything. Admit it, you’re no better than I am–how many of your “friends” would you invite to your house?

2. Facebook Made Me Do It: Facebook didn’t make you tell all 1,384 of your friends that you once had chlamydia. Facebook didn’t hold your hand onto the mouse and force you to type: “Josh is in favor of slapping geese and women,” as one of your “25 random things” and it certainly didn’t waterboard you into asking everyone what their slave name is. Psychiatrists call this “externalizing blame.” It’s a way to lay-off shame and self-loathing onto somebody (or something) else so you can feel better about yourself. 4. I Use Facebook to Keep in Touch With People: No, the truth is you’re nosy. Admit it. You scour the profiles of other people for the same reason I do. You want to know their business. Facebook isn’t addictive–your desire to know what other people are up to is addictive. The over-sharing thrills you. I know I’m hooked. Don’t you hunt through your friends’ walls looking for any scrap of information that will produce that warm tingly schadenfreude feeling?

Facebook is our own personal reality show and our friends are the stars. What else besides “American Idol” or “Project Runway” allows you to be so judgmental while wearing pajamas? If people stopped revealing ridiculous stuff about themselves in their status updates, “Rock of Love” would be your “guilty pleasure” instead. You know you’re dying to discover your college roommate lives in a trailer in his mom’s backyard. I literally cried from joy when I saw that an ex-boyfriend was sporting a comb-over.

5. I’m Soooo Over Facebook: Come on. You love Facebook for exactly the reasons you pretend to hate it … it’s the Big Thing. And we’re not falling for that ironic distancing pose you’ve been adopting lately. We know you spend hours looking for former girlfriends or that guy who you loved from freshman psych but didn’t have the courage to talk to. I tried to act all Margaret Meadish when I first joined Facebook (“It’s a classic example of mass hysteria inspired by our collective need to be famous. Blah, blah, blah.”) But everybody knew I wasn’t on there doing social anthropology. I was on there because I wanted to snicker at that girl I went to elementary school with who reports every single one of the eight pomegranate martinis she drinks every night.

6. And I am Soooo Not Competitive: We don’t just want more friends than everybody else; we also want the highest score in Word Twist and the most virtual Easter Eggs. I recently spent nearly 24 hours playing Scramble on Facebook until I had a higher score than my friend Dough Dough. Why? Because I knew Facebook would send him a note that said; “Raina has beaten your personal high score on Scramble.” When he commented on his complete and total defeat, I just said; “I didn’t know Facebook would tell you that. OMG! LOL!” We love Facebook because it allows you to gloat to your heart’s content and hide that self-satisfied smirk on your face behind the wall of the Internet. By the way, if you have a Scramble score higher than 147, don’t even think about friending me.

7. Facebook is My Friend: No, it’s a business (albeit one that has yet to make money). Everyone knows casinos hide the exits and pump oxygen into the air to keep you gambling and get all your money. Facebook is doing the same thing but with avatars and Food Flings. They want to trap you behind their dotcom walls so they can attract advertisers. Think about it. If Facebook really loved you, they wouldn’t run those “5 Friends HATE you!” banners on the top of Scramble. And have you ever had a friend try to take ownership of all the posts and baby pictures you sent them for who knows what reason? Nor has a “friend” ever taunted me with ads that implied Obama owed me $12,000 in personal-stimulus money.

with all that being said, the main reason i hooked on to facebook is because it became SO big here in malaysia. because of this, everyone’s on it and thus it makes it a superb networking and marketing platform =] it’s particularly useful for bands in malaysia as well, seeing that myspace didn’t really take of here locally. though i must agree, u do get more spam than genuinely important stuff =]

do u remember sunburst 2008? i do vaguely, and apart from the rain it was AWESOME! to me, this was the closest that malaysia would get to an OZFEST or any sort of all day music festival and the organisers pulled it off pretty well i must say though hiccups are always present.

now, what went wrong in sunburst 2008? just a few things, not significant enough to ruin the day but worth nothing.

1. the waiting in between bands – now the organisers did something very good to prevent this from happening. they put 2 main stages side by side, obviously so that when 1 band finished at 1 stage, the other band can start at the 2nd stage with minimum delay. somehow this didn’t seem to work. either that, or bands are still doing what they do best: waiting for the crowd to swell before starting. now if you’re gonna do that, why put 2 stages there in the first place? 1 huge stage would be able to do that much better  i reckon.
2. the choice of performers – i think they were going with we-want-all-kinds-of-musicians-so-that-we-can-attract-all-kinds-of-people-to-come concept, but i think they did it a little too widely. from rap to funk. from acoustic to r&b. from rock to hip hop. looks like every genre was represented! besides the harder stuff though, which maybe because this event is supported by the tourism ministry. no head banging, heavy metal stuff, which is sort of a good thing, i think.
3. unequal treatment of musicians – well i don’t know how true is this, but this is what i heard. did any of you guys notice that the main band, incubus, actually played before their actual slot? right after john legend we were suppose to be entertained by estranged before incubus came up. i actually was looking forward to seeing estranged, but obviously when i heard incubus start, that feeling just went away =P which actually brings me to another point. once incubus started their set, suddenly the cameraman and the lightings all seem to be so much better compared to before. the lights were very nicely queued in. the camera panned superbly. i think this happens everywhere. the main guys always get the nice stuff. it even happened during the switchfoot concert. but anyway getting back to sunburst, apparently incubus came, got interviewed, and wanted to start their set immediately. so our lovely malaysian organisers who could’ve told them what they told everyone else, that every band has to wait for their set to play, instead just happily bumped incubus up before estranged. sounds harmless right? not for estranged though. once incubus finished, everyone assumed it was all over and left. including me. not because we don’t like estranged, but because it was the end. so yeah, that wasn’t too cool of the sunburst people =\

apart from all this, everything else was goood. food vendors, although a little lacking, was good food. tuborg was good. john legend was good. incubus was good. the roots were good. local bands were good.

so now. sunburst 2009. labelled by one of my friends as suckburst. just look at the lineup and you’ll understand why.

nerd. indo bands. malaysian bands. that’s it. hmm, only 1 international act? well technically indo bands are “international” right? it looks like sunburst is converging toward an indo fest, which i can totally understand why. if you guys out there in malaysia are complaining at the lineup, its all your own doing. its all your fault.

indo/malay bands are the biggest, most hugely supported bands in malaysia. that’s right. that’s why its very logical for the organisers to go toward this direction. when your an indo band, or model yourself like an indo band, the fans here actually buy your albums. the fans here actually come to your gigs. the fans here actually scream and sing along with you. that is the power of the indo scene. the fans love them. whether they’re a local band, or a real indo band, the fans love them. just like how we love paramore, u2, coldplay, foo fighters, etc. but what about the equivalent local bands who sound like these guys? musically we have bands that i dare say are as good as these big names, but they don’t get any support. or very little support at least. we simply label them wannabes, posers, bla bla bla. there’s no love for them coz we call them copycats. it seems that the only way for a local band to make it big these days is for them to go indo. to start singing malay. meet uncle hussain did that, and it worked

nerd… nerd… why nerd? i think they’ve never been on malaysian radio… never been on malaysian tv… ok maybe never is a very strong word… but i cant recall any nerd followings here, except for their popular single lapdance, i don’t know anything about nerd… maybe i’m ignorant… but a main event band is suppose to be more widely appealing i reckon…

me? i won’t be there. definitely. unless i get a free pass *hint* even then i will seriously consider giving up the pass to someone else. yes, that’s how bad it is. even a free pass might not get me to go. i guess the only way i will go is if i were playing =D

its things like this that make being green so cool =] it has all the works u could think of. runs on fuel cells, has a solar panel roof to power electronics, and most importantly it looks cool! google can tell u more about it, unfortunately it can also tell you that this is just a concept car =[

1st thing u would naturally do, try to recall past resolutions though most are usually forgotten before they are even made. i somehow only remember making 1 though, coz i thought that if i kept it at just 1 then there was a higher possibility of it materializing. but it didn’t =P

so now the strategy has changed, now we’re going for QUANTITY! now this way, i’ll at least since i have many resolutions, in probability terms i will have a higher chance in at least achieving 1. right? right? right? i know i’m right.

the reason i’m writing this all down here is that i am giving you, the public, yes you, the authority to become my motivators/reminders throughout this next year. that’s right, now anytime you see me and you have nothing to say to me, you can at least remind me about my resolutions this year!

here goes, in no particular order:-

• work out – now for the uninformed i have recently changed my jobs and right now although i never saw this coming, i am a service engineer. yes engineer, though bluntly speaking you can call me a factory worker / technician / plumber / carpenter / despatch / etc. now there seems to be no tie between an engineer and working out right? wrong. not going into detail, but i do have to carry heavy stuff in my new job, and i mean heavy. so apart from being a good ego booster, i do need to be stronger for my career’s sake
• sleep less, no more naps – 2 reasons why. 1, if i take a nap its harder to fall asleep later at night. 2, if i sleep too much i get migraines. so i’m trying to train myself to sleep +/- 6 hours per day which i heard is the average sleep amount for someone my age.
• be more hygienic – no more going to bed without a shower (unless its too late to shower), no more leaving the bed sheet on for half a year, no more using the same towel for more than a month, you get the picture
• be more creative – its kinda hard to believe it, and it makes me sad to say this. but in 08 i didn’t really practice my music much. didn’t really learn anything new. didn’t really improve a lot. so its time to change that =\ did i mention i haven’t written anything in the last 3 years? =[
• say no to laziness - as you can see in previous posts, i am known to be addicted to things that ppl don't usually get addicted to because i'm lazy. the best example would be minesweeper and solitaire =D now i've recently removed it from my pc. yay! but now i'm hooked on igoogle's pacman =P so yeah, i need to realize how precious time is, and that its not like i dont have anything better to do =]
• quiet time every morning –
• debt payment – i hate ppl who borrows money and taking their own sweet time paying it back. i hate ppl who think they are the only ones who have money problems. i hate ppl who tell you they have no money but only the other day you heard from a friend of theirs that they were out clubbing and he opened 2 bottles of chivas. worse, i hate ppl who keep doing this to everyone around them. yes i know a lot of ppl in the world in this category. too many in fact. so because of this, i always repay money i borrow though not as fast as i hope to, but always as prompt as i can. so if i owe you money and somehow its been quite long and maybe i forgotten, pls remind me
• be reliable – i remember someone telling me this. “whenever anyone is cf has a car breakdown or running out of petrol, call lenard or dwong”. was quite nice to know. i wonder if i’m still that reliable now. i also wonder who do these ppl call now that lenard and dwong have graduated =P

 if u’ve been to laundry @ the curve b4, u would probably know that fly.fm has their local music scene show, campur chart goes live there almost once a week. its a pretty sweet place to survey the local music scene whether it be rock, hip hop, brit rock or watever. basically any band on the chart will eventually play at this live show. well, seeing that this fixed venue has benefited the folks of klang valley, now comes a new take to it.

we all have heard tat the winners are those who write history. they’re always the heroes. their oppositions are always the enemies. they’re always good. even when they’re bad, they’re bad for a good reason. after watching these videos, it all feels so much more real to me. i bet 99% of u nvr knew that this happened in our beloved country’s history.

and i guess it still happens til this day. malaysia oh malaysia. when will you learn? how can a govt have such a grip on censoring the opposition til this very day? well. i guess it happens in 3rd world countries. but i thought they said we were 1st world? is this how 1st world countries run elections? whats the point of asking us to make our stand through the ballot box, when u censor all their campaigns and efforts to convey their msg? whats the point of applying for a permit of gathering, when d police only give it to the govt?

most interestingly noted in this:

1. anwar handles the police properly
2. his supporters respect him bcoz he respects the police
3. he needs to wait 5 working days to get a permit, whereas certain priviledged ppl only wait 5 minutes.
4. the police are stopping the gathering in fear of fighting <- this has got to be the best one yet

and now they’re trying to get the internet user’s votes. they even have their own campaigning website now. with testimonials. wonder how much they got paid.

PAS drops “islamic state” in their current manifesto. but a friend recently reminded me that my education contract doesn’t allow me to dwell into politics. bleh. so, for more exciting things that brings smiles to our faces… a more general topic. boys will always be boys =]

this is my 1st venture into the world of single coil pickups. and yes, i have grounding/60cycle hum issues. at least i think i do. well. finally i see myself not changing my bass guitar for a very long time.

i guess nobody made their way to support me at 1cafe kl. well. neither did i. yes another gig canceled. d 1st 2 gigs in the yr have been last minute postphoned (paul’s place) and postphoned indefinitely (1 cafe).

this got me feeling. are these organisers taking advantage of us? and i guess they are.

they know that there isn’t make places around that organises gigs. they ALSO know that we as indie bands with hopes of a bigger brighter future for our band, are willing to play for free most of the time.

BUT IS IT SO HARD TO APPRECIATE WHAT WE DO?!?!?!!?!?!?!

i mean. dahlah u not paying us. we have to go jamming at least 6hrs b4 a gig. tats approx rm150 in a std studio. plus the time we spent practicing and driving to practices. den, u go and postphone gigs. and u know the most sucky part? eventually we still will play for these inconsiderate ppl bcoz there arent many gig places around.

i think my church hates me. ya sounds paranoid i know. but i really think so. for d uninformed, here’s a brief intro.

fgt. short for full gospel tabernacle. founded in 1980 (i think). has an eagle in its logo. u could call it a big/huge/mega church. and like all big/huge/mega churches, the bigger they get the more rules come into play.

now i’ve been playing bass for close to 10 years already and i’ve yet to b even talked to about playin on d sunday meetings. dun get me wrong. i’m not diein2play on sunday. it just amazes me that i havent been talkd to about it ever.

now. i think my church hates me. basically bcoz all of d reasons i can think of why i havent been talkd to have all been answered.

1. i havent been in church for long enough – i’ve seen 1 too many ppl cut into my line from serving on a sunday.
2. i dont have the skill – well, i know i’m not that good at the bass. but i do think that i’m good enough. besides, my church almost never emphasizes on the skills and always on the heart. which pisses me off a lot. but thats another story.
3. i’m not holy enough – not to b putting others down, but i don’t think i’m that unholy. despite all the razor ramon actions i frequently do, i’m pretty decent in church. besides, its all about the heart right?
4. i dont come for meetings – well i have2admit i’ve been missing meetings a little more frequently these days. but what about the years that i’ve nvr missed a meeting? it seems that churches give absentiesm more leniently to working adults compared to students. just because they work, they’re allowed to miss meetings more than us students. i guess they tend to forget that i live 30km away from church n that i pay for my own petrol.
5. they hate me – yes. this is the only thing thats left on the list.

it seems that there’s only 2 ways i might b able to get myself onto the sunday list.

1. quite youth. graduate. go to young adults – with this, i would have the trump card to be absent from meetings
2. become a super youth – the only characteristic i can see in the ppl that have overtaken me is that they are super servers in church and youth meetings. i guess then that it is really true. drivers are quite underappreciated. they only notice u when u cant pick ur load up. not the months u’ve driven from shah alam to cyberjaya so much so that at 1 time my petrol allowance was totally dedicated to fetching ppl to church.

it sucks to be me. in fgt.

which is the root to all evil. the love. or the lack? how did we become so dependent to it? simply looking at it, money is just a form of trade. something to exchange for something that u want/need to have.

but yet its able to stir up any emotion. any feeling in us. it can build us up. yet can tear us down. it can make us love someone. or hate as well. it’s used to do the noblest of things. and also evil u could never have imagined possible for a human to do.

is this all money’s fault. or is it ours? is money to be blamed, or is it our lack of knowing how to build a life according to the money we have?

i’ve always wondered about all these issues on money. how some can have so much, and others so little. how some can have so much, and think that they have so little. or how some can have so little, but think they have so much.

are the amish a people that have given up on the world’s dependency on money. or is it a life statement of non-conformity to the ways that money can ruin ppl as much as it can bless?

i like this clip… if u turn the audio off and just watch d clip… just going crazy in the studio, tried out this new studio opposite sunway pyramid, biggest issue about the place was the slow cooling aircon for me, but i think chiam would say that it was the crappy drumkit =P well, there’re too many mistakes in this clip, i was just focusing on nailing the “paramore” jump. hehe, watch out for it =]

used my me-8b’s octaver to add an octave lower to whatever i’m playing coz this song’s meant for a 5-string bass, and the only bass they had in the studio was a 4-string fender jazz copy. kinda surprised weeliem’s n70 could actually pick up the sound of my bass playing in the clip though. thx to steph for videoing the song =]

alas we have to part ways *sniff* had load of fun with you. my first stage performance. my first battle of the bands. my first paid gig. my first jump with a bass. but now its time to say goodbye. i wish i didn’t have to. *sigh* i’ll always remember you. a fond memory in my mind.

this got me feeling pretty funny inside. to see how a malaysia minister handles questions answered to him. maybe its true, they’ve mastered the art of beating around the bush, using confusing sentences, and in the end not answering the question at all. watch it and let me know what you think.

now part 2 really got me. why, because according to him, everyone in malaysia is allowed to convert to another religion. its the freedom of that person he says. now what i’m not sure about is, if we are indeed allowed to convert as we like, why was that indian lady (cant remember her name and details like that) but in that “rehabilitation center”, if she’s freely allowed to change her religion? doesn’t really sound very “free” to me…

my uni recently turned 10, and so has my cf! yeah, pretty awesome. it came a long way from the handful of students that used to gather, to once being the largest “unsanctioned” cf in the country =P yeah, sounds pretty exciting rite? well, some of them seniors decided that they wanted to round up all batches of the cf for a reunion and guess wat? about 200+ ppl turned up. really cool to catch up with everyone tat i haven’t seen for a long time.

anyway, i got the priviledge to play alongside pg165 with oneted at this event. here’s one of the songs we played. a cover of a song 1 particular senior wrote that impacted the lives of a few of my bandmates. kinda like a tribute to him i guess =P well, enjoy! p/s: pardon all of my mistakes =P

yes i know. i haven’t blogged in almost a month. hehe, been busy laa. unfortunately its with academically unproductive stuff =] which was mainly preparing for enite. sigh* thinking of what we did for that night, compared to wat we were given that night. it just makes me sad. i’ll blog about it soon, don’t worry. but the gist is that the enite committee really let me down.

So how did you guys decide to hook up with Rick Rubin? Was that your idea or did he approach you?
We — the band — made a list of people we wanted to work with. Rick is somebody we wanted to work with since we started making records. If you don’t think about working with Rick Rubin then you’re probably an idiot, you know what I mean? We decided to approach him, and after meeting with him we didn’t even bother with meeting with anybody else. He seemed really into shaking things up as far as what we were going to do musically and lyrically. We were looking for a new direction and we knew he was going to get us there.

Which of the songs best encapsulates the results of working with Rubin?

“In Between” is a track that probably best captures what I’m talking about, It’s a song that just starts out with a cello. There’s literally a cello and a little sample beat. A piece of a beat. And Mike comes in and he sings the whole song.

He sings, he doesn’t rap?
Right, he’s singing the whole song, it’s a very heartfelt, beautiful track,and its something no one would expect on a Linkin Park record.

Was it lyrically inspired by you know your Music for Relief charity for the tsunami?
The thing about this record we have made some observations on our perspective of things, we don’t want to preach or get into politics or what ever, we are at an age where we’re paying attention to that more in our lives.

So what kind of ideas did Ruben have that you guys really like and what ones did you try that he threw your way and you guys just really couldn’t go for?
We took everything Rick said to heart. We have a lot of respect for him and he’s got great taste in music and a really good ear so if he was like, ‘Let’s try this beat,’ we really tried everything. We took every challenge and worked on it, that’s the reason we wrote close to a hundred and fifty songs, and narrowed it down to 12 tracks on our record.

How did you whittle them down? Was there a grading system?
There’s a grading system for everything and there’s also a voting. We graded everything, voted, graded them again and voted again and that process just happened throughout. It was very tedious. Sometimes democracy felt like it wasn’t a very good idea, but the end result was that we all walked away with a record that was lyrically stronger, very musical, really well written. think [we all looked at Rick] and thought we could live with this one. This one’s good.

Does Mike do a lot of singing on the album? Because the songs I’ve heard are largely you singing.
Mikes was like, ‘I wrote myself out of the record.’ There’s not a lot of Mike on this record — there’s a couple of songs he’s rapping on, he has a couple of songs he’s singing on, he’s singing a lot of harmonies and playing a lot of guitar. And, you know he produced this record as well, so it was interesting. I questioned that early on, like, ‘Hey there what are you doing? Maybe we should try some rapping or more of you.’ And he was like ‘No, no, no. This is all you dude.’ It was almost like after awhile we just stopped paying attention to him. We were just writing songs.

for the daft ones out there (me included) go here to find out more about rick rubin, and his past works =] u’ll know why LP sounds the way they are now. they’re evolving… and to tell you the truth, i kinda like it. yeah i know its not as great as hybrid theory, but i guess hybrid theory had the advantage of being their 1st album. the way i see it, LP is going toward a band that sings about something. things. issues of more importance. there’s no more shut up when i’m talking to you. or you try to take the best of me, go away. instead its now in this farewell. there’s no blood. there’s no alibi. now that’s deep =]

young ppl rock. haha, well tats not entirely true. i guess teenacity (funky name for their teens group) peeps rock! they are an amazing crowd, very responsive. you dont feel all alone up on stage when u’re playing for them =]

it was a nice, small crowd. about 20-30 ppl. sound was echo-y but surprisingly nice. maybe its because acts is blessed wit a sweet ampeg bass amplifier! *drooLz* well, we came on after the worship and announcements, and rocked 3 songs b4 handing the time over to ps. andy.

i was going a little overboard with my stage presence thingy i reckon. there are times i get to caught up at trying to feel the music, tat i end up playing the wrong note =P then there was this time where i jumped, and landed on my cable, hence breaking the connection to the amp… hehehe

good stuff of the day

• nice crowd = stage presence comes more naturally
• nice amp= bass sounds better than bassist is actually playing =P
• its easier to play to strangers than friends (for me at least)

not-so-good stuff of the day

• we weren’t really prepared. we were playing a new cover (united live – can’t live a day). but everyone was focusing on Him, not us. so i guess our mistakes here and there weren’t tat noticable =P
• wee liem couldnt reach the highest notes on the new song =P

• switching off my alarm clock and getting up for class. haha, yes. i seem to have this knack to off my alarm clock subconsciously. u see, i put my phone quite far from my arm’s reach, so that i’ll have to get up to turn it off. but these days, i wake up 2 hrs later, with my phone in my hands, alarm off-ed -_-”’ i amaze myself. now if only i can subconsiously study. hmm…
• switching on and off my new chorus pedal. WOOHOO! i finally got an effect pedal, and i didn’t even buy it. thx goes out to fmc (vic, julz, weiming), screws (ven, zongz, waikit, turtlez, hupz, hwongz, imbap3h, chinkuang), carpethair, toosexyforherblog, june, shecantdrink and rachel for this wonderful thing i can step on! still in the experimenting stage now. pics of my baby will b up shortly =]
• switching from shoutbox-ing to commenting. yeah, i know its pretty much the same thing, but as a blogger, i always appreciate commenting more. and i imagine others do as well. hmm, maybe its bcoz i dont have a shoutbox. haha, well, commenting has less chance of spam, since its more tedious =]

the past 2 days, is what maybe johor faced (only in the same day) in cyberjaya~ well, the good part is that i don’t sweat myself to sleep anymore, resulting in a super nights rest! the bad part is that its so hard to wake up! =P

i don’t know, but something tells me that someone was singing. hmm. anyway with the wonders of technology these days (and a few individuals who have nothing better to do), this once-in-a-lifetime event can be seen over and over to your heart’s content =]

i wonder where else they tried to save cost. here are some suggestions:

• roads – check out the road in front of the block A parking. the only ride that would survive that is a hummer! not only is the road full of potholes, the pipping nearby is leaking~
• floors/ceilings – try this. stand underneath any ceiling light in your unit. if your lucky, your feet would feel a tad warm. yes, the floor is that thin, u can feel the heat from the lights on the unit underneath you =]
• elevators – test out the elevator’s capacity. you’d be surprised that even 4 ppl in it would trigger the ‘overweight’ alarm. i had numerous friends get trapped in the elevators as well.
• steel grills – to make us ‘feel’ safer, cyberia has blessed its houses with steel grills. what we don’t know is how incredibly easy the locks on these grills are to open. i mean, even the house of IMBAPEH got broken into. =P

i imagine there are more. this is just an account of what i’ve noticed =]

i’ll be helping out this band called oneted for this gig. some christian event in grace assembly pj. hope to learn something out of this. work a lil on my stage presence perhaps =P

oneted’s music style. hmm, quite hard to put a finger on it. since they have 3 songwriters in the band right now, (the other guy writes chinese songs though =P) i would say they’re growing into each others style.

on one hand, you have the worship-y simple-words-deep-meanings esther, the drive-y, i’m-cool-coz-i-got-a-les-paul-and-a-gt8 weeliem, and their beloved band leader, i-set-up-my-drumkit-weirdly-coz-i-think-its-cool joshua! not forgetting, i-smile-with-sepet-eyes-and-get-all-the-girls-crazy-about-us cheemeng! (no blog to link) haha…

so this is the life of a sessionist eh? hohoho~ not nearly 20% as good as sessionist. just getting a cheapshot at how they live =P hope on here to find out more. your support, for me, and for the band, is much appreciated =]

we got a car! we got a car! we got a car! ling wanted to get the cute lil 3-door toyota yaris hatchback. but unfortunately (due to the utter cuteness of the car i figured), they were all out on that. so, due to budget constraints, instead of opting for the chrysler, we got the

3 door hyundai accent hatchback! it looks pretty different from the accent in malaysia. was quite a decent drive i must say. but wat do i know, i’ve been driving protons and peroduas all my life =P was searching bout the net for the top picture when i stumbled on this. presenting… the hyundai accent sr turbo concept!

in society today, there is a growing need for cosmetic-oriented things. why do i say so. well, this phenomenon is named by me as ada-gaya-takda-daya =P although having both would be the best, ppl tend to compromise on the daya these days to opt for something more gaya, with a more “wow” factor when you look at it.

the most obvious trend today would be the mobile phone, since everyone, even the nice cleaning ladies in foe have phones. i think you’ve heard of them. to name a few, there are the motorola v3, lg chocolate, etc. not only have they stopped there, even motorola have collaborated with d&g, while lg are hooking up wit prada.

which brings me to the topic. wat u see up there. the title. yeah. tats the name of an axe tat my lead guitarist has shown me one fine day. and boy does it look sweet!! i dont care how it sounds man. the looks bring saliva to my mouth. touching it. carressing it. licking it (ok, maybe thats a lil too far) well u get my point.

i was having one of those serious conversations with a friend of mine. talking about church, and why we do it. why we go. what we seek there. how we feel. all that kinda things. one thing during the conversation that he said struck me.

i want to want to go to church again…

at first it didn’t strike me at all. i went to sleep, woke up in the morning, went to church, and all that. then a thought just dropped into my mind. what if things were different. what if i didn’t have so much for me in this place called church.

ok. a little background about me and my church 1st. well, there are reasons why we go to church. for me, i guess there are a number of them.

one. i fetch a bunch of people to church. if i dont go, they cant go =P
two. i play the bass in church. doing that requires a certain amount of commitment in church.
three. to catch up with people i only see in church. through the years there’re a handful tat i’ve gotten pretty close to.
four. my church has pretty much grown on me. going there for close to 8 years now. its not that long. but its not short =]
five. its built in my system already. sunday mornings are for church. if i don’t, i just feel weird inside.

so i pondered. what if i didn’t have any of these. no reason to come to church. no body clockwork. no commitments. nothing. its so easy to go to church. seriously. but longing. desiring. wanting to go to church. would i? would i want to go to church?

suddenly i began to see certain flaws. or rather things i didn’t really like about my church. i didn’t like the classes i needed to go for to serve in church. i didn’t like some of the worship leaders. i didn’t like having to fetch my cyberjaya load back straight after church and not being able to bring them to lunch just because the drivers that helped me needed to rush back to church. i didn’t like it that attendance and classes were placed at such a high priority compared to desire and developing your skills. i didn’t like it that a person who’s slacking musically doesn’t get any attention, but a person who’s slacking in his attendance gets instant reminders to make sure they come.

why do i go to my church? i struggled with this throughout the service this morning. then He touched me. enlightened me. He just said two sentences. and tat was all i needed. He said, “because I’m here. because I want you here”

then it became so simple. the things that bothered me were just lifted away. and i started to see the good this church has brought me through. so many emo valleys. and my passion for the bass guitar sparked here. not to mentioned the supermodel girlfriend i met here.

i guess i let routine mess with me. mess with what i really need to have. desire.

i want to want to go to church…
i want to want to run to church…

and so the cny hols have come and gone. i’ve always enjoyed this time of year. where you meet ppl u meet once a year. u go to ppl’s hses and they force you to eat. and of course, the money that comes in those packets. since last yr, 3 ppl i knew have gotten married which equals to a slightly higher harvest i reckon =P

tsk tsk tsk… still the most enjoyable part to me for cny is watching the uncles fight the bill… i mean, here in kl/cyber, they dont really fight… but in the kampungs (i’m from johor), they really really really insist on paying… haha, this is the only time u’ll c old farts move at the speed of lightning =P hohoho~!

well, lets talk about the sweet first. yesterday was the much commercialized valentines day. the day where all lovey dovey stuff get 10 times more expensive and as a result, your love shown on this day would be worth 10 times more compared to on a normal day =P

it didn’t start off that great. i mean, my one and only supermodel is far far down under =[ so no lovey dovey stuff for me this valentines day *sniffsniff* well, rather than wallow myself in self pity, i went out wit the wet gang on one of their bar-hopping sprees. it sounded quite fun. i'm not much of a drinker, but i tagged along anyway =]

we left for bar hopping after our dinner and arrived at asia heritage. my eyes were greeted by eye candy. not girls la of course. talking about mercedes SLK… lexus IS… lotus ELISE… toyota SUPRA… all the jockey-worthy cars parked along this road called asia heritage. sounds like a makan place rite? heh, not much makan here =P there is la, but onli when the sun is still up.

our 1st bar is mojo. i’ve been here b4 about a year back. came here for a food review, and when u come as a food reviewer u get all their best food =P well it looked different. i guess they redecorate it during the night for a more bar-like feel. my stomach was still full wit food from dinner, so i didn’t drink here. they were playing austin powers on the tv here. so tats wat i was doing, watching tv while suyen and gang were drinking their cocktails and beer. yeah i know i’m lame =]

den next we went to suyen’s fav bar: mesquite, the tequila bar… they had a live band playing, and they were playing BEP back to back… wah, me and chin kuang were like “play something else la…” and thank God they did… their songs starting getting better too… as in, more dancing friendly, but i shall not blog about dancing there coz i was mocked and perli-ed by them girls in the gang… they shall remained unnamed becoz i’m nice =P all i can say is that they closed with sweet child of mine by guns n roses, and the guitarist really pulled it off really well… so victor… when ah? hahaha… but sad to say, the girl in that band sang la… but expected oso la, the vocals for that song too high for normal guys i suppose…

now comes the bitter part… aihz… this is the dem stress part… no words can discribe the agony and torment this incident has caused to me and my heart… not much to say about it… dont want to think a lot about it… just 4 words… i killed a dog… yes… with aylwin’s kancil… ok la give u guys some details… i was driving along, at about 60 kmph, coz aylwin’s kancil is a blardy 660cc 10yr old kancil, and i suddenly saw this dog on the opposite traffic lane about 20 meters in front of me. i was like oh shit, i’m gonna see a car bang this dog dead right in front of me.

then SUDDENLY, THE STUPID DOG DECIDED THAT HE WANTED TO BE KILLED BY ME INSTEAD! so he just walked onto my lane, and STOPPED! wah… i think dogs oso emo during valentines day ah… his b*tch must’ve left him for some stud, and he couldn’t handle the sorrow =P aihz, still dem stress man… i jammed the brakes, but i still hit it… dun really know whether i killed it or not…

so thats how it ended… valentines day of 2007… bittersweet… more like sweetbitter =( why BITTER!! argh~

if i could do this one day… haha, i think i would, if FMC became big =] anyway, incubus is having a fan contest now, where fans make a vid on their 2nd single, dig. unfortunately its already in the final stages, so they’ve narrowed it down to 5 videos… here’s my personal favourite, this one didn’t make the top 5 though…click here to vote!

my favourite one in the top5 is this one… it has everything a cool music video should have… a great band… superb connection between the video and the lyrics… and of course, a hot chick =P

sounds emo right? haha, but its not~ nono, not an emo statement. its coz I’M FREAKING SICK!! *exhales* well it all began some 2 weeks ago, when i got back from Perth. now, 1st sickness that strucked me: RASHES! kinda disgusting to talk about this, and NO I DONT HAVE ANY PICTURES OF THEM =P suffice to say, they were everywhere la.. oh except you-know-where la

well, that went away after a couple of days, but was substituted by…

FEVER… oh fever, sometimes i enjoy having a fever… you know why? coz when you got a fever, you’re cold. and thats nice! =] especially here in cyberjaya. but it gets irritating when it doesn’t go away. i mean besides fever, his friends, SORE THROAT and FLU came along together… argH~

now its just in the fluctuating stages… right now, or rather today, is the worst. woke up at 7 (8am class) slept back at 8, woke up at 6pm =P now, i’m like a stone. my nose has lost all functionality of breathing… my head is pain from the fever… my eyes feel like popping out… bones and muscles aching my whole body… a slight headache is coming to me… and everytime i swallow it hurts…

there’s so many things ppl say as to why i’m facing all this… getting used to the weather back here… getting used to the dirtiness of malaysia… i personally feel my body’s getting used to not having you around anymore… and it seems to not want to get used to your absence =(

day 2: i was brought on a tour around Curtin University of Technology, and i was pretty impressed… one thing i like about this campus, no security guards! hehe, but then the students have to pay for parking. aihz, and the free visitor parking is super far from any building =(

i only got to see the parts that my ling knew of, obviously. and tats only about 20% of the campus. yeah its pretty big. no pics of the campus though. would look kinda silly taking pics there =P

interesting things about Curtin:

1. you can buy porn calenders in the campus bookshop
2. you can request for a campus bus to fetch you back home if its late at night (yeah, apparently its pretty dangerous there)
3. there’re cool places around campus, like a saloon! (heh, although mmu has its barber in hb3 hehehe)

well, that was my morning. since we haven’t rented a car yet, we stopped by at coles to buy some stuff to cook for dinner. reached home. mandi. zzz =D

did lotsa sleeping throughout me holiday here. which is good. don’t wanna burnout here =P

woke up to find my ling busy cooking in the kitchen d. she’s so nice. let me sleep a lil longer while she starts cooking 1st =] so i became her kitchen helper. the menu of the day was baked potatoes and pork steak! only 1 word i can say: AWESOME! my ling use to only know how to bake stuff wan, and now she can cook too! WOOHOO! i’m gonna die a fat satisfied man X-P

watching moulin rouge after dinner reminded me of how much i enjoyed watching movies with my ling. although sometimes i end up watching it myself =P can u believe halfway into the show, she paused the show. i thought she wanted to go pee or something, mana tahu, she paused the show, den slept there.

i could stay awake, just to hear you breathing… yeah i could =]

arrived at perth airport at 12 something m’sia time, +1 hr perth time. for the 1st time i felt the spirit of Malaysia Boleh! haha, this sudden surge of patriotism came from a visual comparison made between KLIA and Perth Airport. For all u ulu ppl out there like i was, yes KLIA is indeed a world class airport! i mean, just seeing the size of it, i think KLIA is like, at least 10 timez bigger. serious!

well, the flight here wasn’t too good, wasn’t too bad. i think something’s wrong wit my body’s pressure and balance. i can’t sit on those gila gila pusing kiri kanan upside down inside out kinda roller coasters, neither can i dive deep into water (tried doing that will snorkelling in perhentian, ears couldn’t take it after about 3 meters deep).

the takeoff was alright, just the normal feeling in the ears u get from driving up to genting. but the landing… that was… pure pain >.< from the time the plane descended from 20000 feet to landing, it was torture all the way down. i thought maybe the plane was descending a little too fast, hence the pain, but everyone else on the plane was ok. haha, i guess i’m just meant to be a wuss =P

after getting of the plane, and doing all the mumbo jumbo (baggage retrieval, passing immigresion, etc) i imagined my ling to be waiting for me eagerly at the arrival gate. i could just see it in my head: it would all be in slow motion =P i would appear at the gate, looking downwards (trying to be macho), then as i look up, i’ll see her running towards me. i’ll dropped my hand baggage to the ground, just in time for her to leap into my arms! wow. but as i looked up, all i saw was aussies. so i waited.

and waited. and waited summore. hehe actually not that long la, about 20 minutes nih. she called and said she was outside in the car already. went out to look for her. she saw me. she walked, not ran. she hugged me, but didn’t leap into my arms. aihz, how reality always falls short to our dreams =P and i cant believe the 1st thing she said to me when she saw me. “why your hair so short wan?” -_-”’

heh, oh well. thats my ling i guess =] always more critical to the way i look than me. won’t change anything about her. she looked more beautiful than the last time i saw her. despite her saying that she’s fat liao and all, i was just happy i could see her in front of my eyes at that moment =D her fren simon picked us back to her place. i unpacked, bathed, bla bla bla. then we went to bed =]
